Lasse Damgaard was born and raised in Auning, Denmark, before moving to Copenhagen and later Aarhus to pursue higher education.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Aarhus University and subsequently earned a Master of Science in Cognitive Science from the same institution, where he maintained an interdisciplinary focus on the application of cognitive experimental methods to psychedelic research. During his master’s studies, he completed an internship at the Centre for Psychedelic Research, Imperial College London, where he assisted with ongoing studies and developed a rapid analysis and visualisation tool for the centre’s research data.
He is currently pursuing a PhD at Stockholm University, investigating attachment-related psychological changes following psychedelic experiences and how these changes relate to mental health outcomes.
In his free time, he enjoys going on unreasonably long hiking trips, making neuroscience broadly accessible as a public speaker, and daydreaming about adopting a golden retriever.
