Maria Carla Lacidogna was born and raised in Turin, Italy. She earned her Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and subsequently began her residency training in Psychiatry at the same institution. Alongside her clinical training, she developed a strong interest in research, contributing to several peer-reviewed publications since 2022. In 2025, she moved to Paris, France, to undertake a clinical rotation at Sainte-Anne Hospital, where she gained experience in innovative neuromodulatory techniques and advanced psychiatric care. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Copenhagen under the supervision of Professor Dea Siggaard Stenbæk. Her research focuses on the role of music and psychotherapeutic support in psychedelic-assisted therapy. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading modern Japanese literature, and attending music festivals.
