Claudio Daza was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. He earned his Medical Doctor degree and specialized in Adult Psychiatry at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he also completed a Master of Public Health. This foundation was complemented by training in contextual behavioral therapies, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, science communication, and philosophy of science. Together, these interests have shaped his work as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist within an academic health network, where he leads a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program and contributes to the scientific and clinical team conducting Chile’s first psychedelic trial for treatment-resistant depression. He is currently pursuing a PhD investigating the safety and efficacy of psychological interventions in psychedelic therapy, with a focus on psychotherapeutic techniques and mechanisms of change. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, indie video games, and keeping up with the latest developments in AI and technology.
